Professional experience

Mr. Rojas has extensive experience in litigation. He has worked as a lawyer for the tax authorities in Mexico and as a lawyer for companies and individuals in litigation in tax matters. He has also successfully represented clients challenging resolutions of different organs of the federal, state and municipal public administration. The Lic. Rojas has also represented financial institutions and other clients in litigation related to the recovery of accounts receivable, fraud, breach of trust and breach of contracts. Additionally, Mr. Rojas represents individuals in litigation related to inheritance, property matters and other family matters.
The professional practice of Lic. Rojas began in the Attorney General's Office of the State of Nuevo León, acting as a clerk in Agencies of the Public Ministry, as well as in the Directorates of Preliminary Inquiries and Process Control (1978-1981).
He worked as a Tax Lawyer in the Federal Tax Office, in the legal defense of the federal treasury in various lawsuits (1982-1985).
Subsequently, Mr. Rojas worked at Grupo Protexa, SA de CV, as Head of
Legal Department in the Construction Division (Bogotá, Colombia) (1985-1987), and
as Head of the Litigation Department (Monterrey, NL, Mexico) (1987-1988).
He was a Trustee before the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, representing the
taxpayers in all kinds of problems with authorities of said Secretariat (1995-2003).
He is a partner of the law firm Margáin, Santos, Rojas, González, Vargas, SC (now
Margáin Abogados) since 1988, working as a litigator in matters of Tax Law, Administrative Law, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Law Civil and Criminal Law.
